So basically what is happening here is we create a new button up at the top on the Pandora page next to the “Help” button called “Music Recognition”. A user can click on that and a new window opens up asking the user if he/she will allow Pandora to scan their music files from their computer. If they say yes, then Pandora scans through iTunes/media player or wherever their music is coming from and recognizes trends, genres, artists, and other things to create a new station(s) depending on genres, percentages of what genre of music is being played, and other things. The only thing I think this model could use is having the user specify how many stations they want Pandora to make because 1 may not be enough and 10 may be too much. To get around this, Pandora could ask the user how many stations it wants us to create after scanning has occurred.
(I believe the picture pops up if you click on it, if it isn’t showing up already)

I like how you have kept the user interface at Pandora.com, but still integrate iTunes in the mix with the button. Would the stations that Pandora makes be based on genre, artist, song, what? Maybe Pandora would store the user’s song and would automatically check back with the user’s library after a predetermined number of days/weeks/months to update their playlists?
